Biography

As a street artist, Mr. Brainwash created images of pop culture icons in Paris and Los Angeles. At the encouragement of Banksy, a highly acclaimed yet anonymous street artist, Mr. Brainwash had his first solo show in 2008. Then, in 2010, Mr. Brainwash’s life and career were explored in the Academy Award-nominated documentary, Exit Through the Gift Shop, directed by Banksy. 

Mr. Brainwash has garnered attention in the international art arena with his recognizable graffiti-fusion art. Utilizing color, iconic imagery, popular celebrities, pop culture and playful messages, Mr. Brainwash’s distinctive style blends different genres to create cohesive messages of positivity. From screen prints to stencils and spray paints, Mr. Brainwash's techniques are never without his improvisational style. 

A celebrity in his own right, Mr. Brainwash permeates the psyche of pop culture. Mr. Brainwash’s works reflect the artist’s outlook­­ through his trademark phrase, “Life is Beautiful.”
